In August 2023, he relocated to Great Lakes Pediatric Cardiology, a new office with state-of-the-art equipment and plenty of parking. It is conveniently located near Beaumont Hospital, Troy at 19 mile and Dequindre.

They also offer specialized services such as fetal cardiac consultations and fetal echocardiograms, athlete’s heart screening to cater to the specific needs of patients.

Having been a doctor in the Great Lakes Region for close to 15 years, Dr. Gonzalez Rangel has had the privilege of serving as Director of both the Fetal Cardiology Program and Student Heart Check at Beaumont Hospital for several years. 

His acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his Medical Degree from the School of medicine at Universidad Industrial de Santander in 2002. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in pediatrics at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in 2009, followed by his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Rush University Medical Center in 2012. 

With a commitment to medical excellence, the doctor is board certified in pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Holding an academic appointment, Dr. Gonzalez Rangel has been serving as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine since 2012.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents, while cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart as well as some parts of the circulatory system. Pediatric cardiologists specialize in diagnosing and treating heart problems in children.
