Dr. Kamel is a board-certified dentist who specializes in preventive, corrective, and cosmetic dentistry. He sees beyond a single tooth and moves toward examining and treating a patient’s mouth, jaw, neck, head, as well as teeth.
Dr. Kamel opened Woodbury Dental Arts in the spring of 2012. Two years later, he opened Minnesota Dental Arts in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Then, in 2015, he opened another Woodbury office called Applewood Family Dental. At all of his practices, Dr. Kamel offers the highest standard of dental care available by using the most advanced technology, alongside his friendly and caring team of professionals.
Dr. Kamel received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Cairo University – Faculty of Dentistry in Cairo, Egypt in 2000. He then went on to complete his postgraduate studies at the UCLA School of Dentistry from 2000 until 2002. Dr. Kamel earned a certificate in Contemporary Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry from the University of Minnesota in 2009, after which he completed the Dawson Academy Program on Complete Dentistry in 2012.
Dr. Kamel is a Master of the International Dental Implant Association (MIDIA). The IDIA is an alumni network for dentists who have taken Implant Seminars dental continuing education courses. Founded in 2008 by Dr. Arun K. Garg, an international lecturer, author, and oral surgeon, the IDIA has grown to become one of the largest organizations of its size with nearly 3,000 members.
Dr. Kamel is a member of several associations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the Dawson Alumni Association. He is also affiliated with several local professional organizations, including the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce, the Woodbury Community Foundation, Woodbury BNI – Referral Resources, and Woodbury Small Business Referral Networkers.
Dr. Kamel is a certified Invisalign® Preferred Provider. Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that helps to straighten teeth without the use of the typical metal braces.
