After graduating from the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology, Dr. Emam went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2004. 

For the purpose of staying up to date in her field, she remains a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland Dental Association, and the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. In honor of her expertise, she earned the Patients’ Choice Award in 2016 and 2017. 

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity.
