About

Brian Salazar is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Licensed Massage Therapist, practicing in New York, NY. Brian received his training from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, one of the nation’s leading schools for acupuncture, massage, Chinese herbal medicine, and integrative medicine. Since graduating from PCOM almost 10 years ago, he has continuously expanded his knowledge and improved his skills, through multiple continuing education workshops. He is certified in Neurofunctional Acupuncture, Facial Revitalization Acupuncture, and Neck / Face-lift Massage. As a leading provider in the field, Brian has been selected to speak at numerous venues, including the New York Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation's Integrative Medicine Workshop in 2014, 2015 and 2016 as well as at the NYS Pain Society's Annual Meeting and Scientific Session in March, 2017. With a combination of manual therapy and acupuncture modalities such as cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion, Brian is very successful in treating a multitude of ailments. He evaluates and treats patients based on the concepts of oriental medicine using a comprehensive pattern differentiation approach, integrated with Western Medicine modalities, to not only treat symptoms but to identify the root cause of those symptoms and treat them as well. Although his extensive education has prepared him to treat all the ailments that acupuncture and massage are effective for, he focuses on the treatment of pain, particularly due to sports and dance injuries, as well as those stemming from emotional roots. Additionally, he has an extensive patient following for his success in treating internal medicine complaints such as digestive, upper respiratory, and gynecological disorders. His ultimate goal is to help his patients achieve optimal wellness using a holistic approach, addressing the full spectrum of healing for the mind, body, and spirit.
