  • What is chiropractic manipulation?

Chiropractic manipulation, performed manually or with an instrument, is what a Doctor of Chiropractic does to increase range of motion in a segment of the spine that is not moving well, a.k.a hypomobile/subluxated. The goal is to decrease pain symptoms, decrease muscle stiffness and tightness, and restore range of motion in the affected area of the spine. Hope this helps. READ MORE

  • Does cracking your neck release endorphins?

Hello. I would advise not to "crack" your neck on your own because vital structures and vessels, such as the internal carotid artery (that goes from your heart to the brain), jugular vein (that goes from your brain to your heart), and Cranial Nerve X (which is the biggest cranial nerve extending from your brain all the way to your vital organs, small and large intestines), can be damaged. When a doctor of chiropractic administers a spinal adjustment in the neck, many physiologic and neurologic changes happen that do affect many organ systems. Endorphin release maybe one of them. Hope this helps. READ MORE

  • Is chiropractic treatment safe for babies?

Hello. Chiropractic treatment is safe for babies. I know of many of my peers who are pediatric chiropractors who treat babies as young as 1-2 months old very carefully and gently with great success on the following health concerns: colic, torticollis, otitis media (inner ear infection), etc. I would find a good and reputable pediatric chiropractic doctor who has had a successful practice with grateful and satisfied patients. Hope this helps. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor help with a fractured vertebrae?

Hello. The answer is unfortunately no. As doctors of Chiropractic, we do not treat fractured vertebrae as it is not within our scope of practice to manipulate spinal areas that have fractured vertebrae. I would consult an orthopedic physician regarding this. READ MORE
