Academically, Dr. Mader is a graduate of Touro College in New York where he received his degree as a Physician’s Assistant. He then went on to graduate with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Dr. William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1987, after which he completed his podiatric surgical residency at Lakeview Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1988. 

An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). The mission of the ABFAS is to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by the advancement of the art and science of podiatric surgery.

A Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Foot Orthopedics, Dr. Mader is a member of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. He is also a former board examiner for the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, and the former president of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association.
