Get to know Neurosurgeon Dr. Kenneth W. Reichert II, who serves patients throughout the State of Wisconsin.

A board-certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Reichert has special training and experience in brain tumors, cerebrovascular diseases (blood vessel disorders), carotid artery surgery, and simple or complex spinal disorders. In his practice, he believes in providing an expert opinion and surgical care to patients with neurological disease.

Being a part of the team of professionals at Neurologic Associates of Wisconsin – Spine, Nerve & Brain Center, he sees patients at the offices in Milwaukee, Brookfield, and Franklin. 

Neurologic Associates of Wisconsin – Spine, Nerve & Brain Center provides operative and nonsurgical management for disorders of the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems. The neurosurgeons who make up the practice are focused on delivering a variety of top-notch care and treatment, including brain surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, and chronic pain treatment options.

A 1986 graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Reichert II went on to perform his residency in general surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. He also performed a fellowship in cerebrovascular skull-base tumor surgery, including carotid artery surgery, at the University of Cincinnati, and a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the University of Ottawa.

A trusted authority for exceptional care, he is board-certified through the American Board of Neurological Surgery, whose broad aim is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health. He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS).

Neurosurgery is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, surgical treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders which affect any portion of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system. Neurosurgeons are doctors who diagnose and treat problems with the nervous system, often by performing surgery on the brain or spine. They treat strokes, tumors, cervical and lumbar disc disease, infections, and head or spinal cord injuries.

In light of his most notable achievements, Dr. Reichert II was named one of the Best Doctors of America, named one of the Top Surgeons in America, and featured as a Top Neurosurgeon by Milwaukee Magazine. He also received the On-Time Doctor Award (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2015, 2016), and Patients’ Choice Award (2018).

On a more personal note, Dr. Reichert and his wife, Karen, reside in Brookfield with their five children. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
