Dr. Ronald A. Landry is a board certified ophthalmologist who is the founder and medical director of Eyecare Associates in Metairie, Louisiana. With over 30 years experience in medical and surgical eyecare, Dr. Landry is recognized as an expert in advanced cataract surgery including femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery, and the newest technology in intraocular lenses, as well as cutting edge laser vision refractive surgery.
In 1988, Dr. Landry developed and opened the Outpatient Eye Surgery, which is the first single specialty eye surgery center in Southeast Louisiana. In response to the growing need for refractive eye surgery, Eyecare Associates opened the Eye Laser Institute.Dr. Landry and his partners are extremely proud to employ over 100 people from around the greater New Orleans area.
A graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Dr. Landry completed his residency in ophthalmology at LSU Medical Center and Charity Hospital in New Orleans. This was followed by a fellowship in retinal diseases and surgery. He then received his board certification by the American Board of Ophthalmologists.
