A skilled professional in the field of pulmonology, Dr. Sierra works at Tampa Lung Specialists, P.A. with offices in Tampa and Plant City, Florida.

Tampa Lung Specialists, P.A. is a group of board-certified physicians practicing pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine in and around Tampa, Florida. They also have a group of highly talented advanced registered nurse practitioners.

Locally, he is affiliated with St. Joseph’s Hospital-Tampa, Kindred Hospital Central Tampa, Tampa General Hospital, Tampa Community Hospital, Memorial Hospital of Tampa, and AdventHealth Tampa.

A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at East Central University in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Sierra relocated to the United States to further his training. He performed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in pulmonary disease at the Wayne State University School of Medicine.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract. A pulmonologist is an internal medicine physician who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions and diseases that affect the lungs, bronchial tubes, and the respiratory system, including the nose, pharynx, and throat.

Honoring his 40+ year long career, Dr. Sierra has been the recipient of On-Time Doctor Award (2018, 2015).
