With over three decades of experience in her field, she is an attending physician at Saint John’s Health Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Southern California School of Medicine.

Graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California in 1971, Dr. Chein earned her medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine in 1975. After medical school, she went on to complete an internship and residency at LAC+USC Medical Center, acquiring further knowledge and expertise in her field.

Passionate about her profession, the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), Dr. Chein is an active member of the Pacific Coast Fertility Society, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Los Angeles OBGYN Society, the California Medical Association, and the Los Angeles County Medical Association.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
