Furthering his training, Dr. Panico completed an additional fellowship in electrophysiology at Loyola University Medical Center in 2020. 

Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Panico is a Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.

An electrophysiologist is a type of cardiologist. They focus on the heart’s timing, or electrical system, and on diagnosing and treating irregular heartbeats or arrhythmias. They are also qualified to perform special tests of the heart’s electrical system, such as an electrophysiology study or an ablation.
