In his current capacity, the doctor is affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers in the area, including St. Charles Hospital, Stony Brook University Hospital, Southampton Hospital, and Mather Hospital.
Graduating from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002, Dr. Spinner completed training in neurology and internal medicine at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Wanting to further his education, he received additional training in sleep medicine and completed a fellowship in neurophysiology. Initially embarking on a career in academic medicine, he taught medical students, residents, and fellows at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York.
In 2014, after many years of clinical and academic practice, Dr. Spinner started North Suffolk Neurology with the goal of delivering personalized and high quality patient care. He believes that by providing comprehensive care with an integrated medical approach, the best results can be achieved.
Voted as America’s Best Neurologist by Consumer Council from 2012 to 2018, the doctor is board-certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology, brain injury medicine, and sleep medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists. He is also board-certified in headache medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties and in internal medicine by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons.
