Subsequently, he completed both his internship and residency at Detroit Medical Center, followed by an oncology fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center.
Dr. Ford explained that he chose urology in his third year and found it to be “the greatest medical and surgical subspecialty practice in the history of medicine. It is amazing because I can have a busy surgical practice but still have the medical aspect. It’s hybrid, robust, and I loved it.”
Board certified in urological surgery, the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS). The AOBS is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the use of surgery to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
