Born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1966, Dr. Burg was the son of a physician for the US Air Force. He traveled the country often before settling into New York State in his high school years. After college, where he majored in political science and minored in art, he worked for a prominent advertising agency in NYC during the late 1980’s – early 90’s. There, he met his wife, Ann.
A gifted illustrator, Dr. Burg decided to use his meticulous fine motor skills in the art of dentistry, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Milton Burg, and uncle, Leonard Burg. Both doctors practiced for years in New Jersey and so it is only fitting that Dr. Burg has resided in the state.
He has practiced dentistry in New Jersey after graduating on the Dean’s list from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1999.
In addition to being among the country’s best Dean’s list Graduate DMDs, Dr. Burg is a proud member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics — certified and specializing in Botox and Restalin administration for both therapeutic and cosmetic purposes.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
Calling Toms River home, Dr. Burg and his wife, Ann, have two daughters. During his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and poker. He also has passion for baseball and continues to dabble in drawing from time to time.
