Dr. Rattan earned his initial training in Gastroenterology in United Kingdom where he was granted membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1998. In the United States, he completed fellowships in Hepatology from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and in Gastroenterology from Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. Dr. Rattan has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology. Dr Rattan is especially interested in early detection of Colorectal Cancer and Liver diseases. He has one of the largest cohorts of viral hepatitis patients in the PG county and Montgomery county. He regularly attends major conferences to keep himself up-to-date with latest developments and advances in gastroenterology to provide state of the art treatment and excellent patient care.
