Dr. Akintayo earned his medical degree at the University of Lagos School of Medicine in Nigeria, in 1995. After relocating to the United States, he completed his psychiatry residency at Columbia University and Harlem Hospital Center in New York City (2004-2007). For his child and adolescent fellowship, Dr. Akintayo attended SUNY Downstate /Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York (2007-2009).
Dr. Akintayo became board-certified in General psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc.
