Dr. Biggers is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in disorders of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee, sports-related injuries, and shoulder and knee replacement surgery. He also has expertise in shoulder and knee replacement surgery.
At present, he is a part of the team of professionals at OrthoOne Sports Medicine. He sees patients at the offices in Arlington, Collierville, and Olive Branch, Tennessee.
OrthoOne Sports Medicine specialize in orthopaedic medicine, including the treatment of sports, work, or age-related injuries and discomfort, or any other types of joint, muscle, or bone pain. The experienced orthopaedic physicians, all of whom are surgeons, display a genuine interest in patients’ personal health. They place an emphasis on helping each individual return to their normal daily activities as soon as possible. “We don’t just say we care, we show we care” is their motto.
A native of Greenwood, Mississippi, Dr. Biggers attended Pillow Academy and went on to perform his undergraduate studies at Mississippi State University, graduating summa cum laude. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree while majoring in microbiology. He was tapped into numerous honor societies while in college and ultimately elected into the MSU Hall of Fame in 2005.
Four years later, in 2009, Dr. Biggers graduated magna cum laude with his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was one of five students selected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society during his third year of medical school. His peers also selected him into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
As for his training, he completed a 5-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Tennessee Campbell Clinic in 2014, where he was the recipient of the Program Director’s Award multiple times during his residency. He underwent an additional year of specialty training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama under the tutelage of Dr. James Andrews, Dr. Lyle Cain, Dr. Jeff Dugas, and Dr. Benton Emblom.
As a fellow, Dr. Biggers served as an associate physician for the University of Alabama, Birmingham Barons (Chicago White Sox AA affiliate), WWE professional wrestling association, and Birmingham Ballet. He also treated multiple professional and collegiate athletes from across the country. Upon completion of his fellowship, he joined OrthoOne Sports Medicine.
Dedicated to excellence, the doctor is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
In affiliation with multiple academic societies, Dr. Biggers is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has authored multiple publications, presentations, and educational conferences throughout his extensive career.
