Dr. Mazzola is board certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He also obtained musculoskeletal ultrasound certification in 2013.

 

He currently practices as a non-operative Orthopedic & Regenerative Medicine specialist at Breakthrough Regenerative Orthopedics in Boulder, CO.

 

He formerly worked as a Team Physician at US Air Force Academy.

 

Passionate about teaching, Dr. Mazzola is affiliated with the University of Colorado Medical School and has plans to complete a number of research studies with Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine on SI Ligament Laxity.

 

He has taught Advanced Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute and AMSSM for several years.

 

He co-authored a chapter on Ultrasound Guided techniques in Regenerative Medicine Procedures in Dr. Malanga and Ibrahim’s textbook titled Regenerative Treatments in Sports and Orthopedic Medicine.  

 

He has been performing Diagnostic and Interventional US since 2007 and Regenerative Orthopedic techniques since 2009.
