Academically, Dr. Tominaga earned her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine in 1984. She then went on to complete her residency in general surgery and her fellowship in surgical critical care at the same educational venue in 1989 and 1990, respectively.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the doctor attained board certification in general surgery and surgical critical care through the American Board of Surgery (ABS).
