Dr. Edmunds and his team have over four decades of experience treating a vast range of gastrological issues, including but not limited to, abdominal pain, Barrett’s esophagus, diarrhea, bloating and constipation, celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, dysphagia, colon cancer, and more. 

A firm believer in delivering care of the highest possible quality, Dr. Edmunds also believes in creating a safe and compassionate environment for every individual he sees. His ability and willingness to thoroughly explain every aspect of gastrointestinal health is widely praised by his former patients, and no matter the diagnosis, he empowers the men and women he treats to make careful and considered decisions about their health.

After receiving his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville in 1988, Dr. Edmunds pursued an internship at the University of Rochester in New York and completed a fellowship there as well. 

He is currently a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Gastroenterological Association, keeping him up-to-date on all the latest procedures, techniques, and technology in his field.

Licensed to practice medicine in Tennessee and North Carolina, the doctor is board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
