He followed this up with a fellowship in general cardiology at The University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Specializing in diagnosing heart disease like blocked arteries, leaky or tight heart valves, high pressure in the lungs, abnormal connections in the heart, and heart rhythm, he is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease & advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
