Academically, Dr. Norman obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1994. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry Degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in 2001, after which she completed her specialty training in Periodontics and Dental Implants at the esteemed University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2004.

An educator in her field, Dr. Norman was Clinical Assistant Professor in Periodontics and participated in clinical research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry and at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.
