  • What is happening to my friend?

Seems that your friend has a lot going on. May I suggest you demonstrate your earnest concern for your friend and get her to see a doctor to evaluate all those things going on with her. Dr. F READ MORE

  • Autoimmune diseases causing hypothermia?

I suggest talking with your Rheumatologist again and repeat tests for SLE and associated MCT disorders. From what you are manifesting and the pictures, it certainly looks like that's a possibility. One more thing to consider would be getting tested for Lyme disease. It can certainly manifest with many of your findings.   Dr. F. READ MORE

  • I think my son has neurological problems?

Although it could be lack of geographical knowledge: If in fact he has memory problems (check with something you know he knew in the past) and does not seem to be acting normal, then he should have a Neurological evaluation and a Neuro-psychological evaluation as well. One more thing to check would be to make sure he is not engaging in recreational pharmacology (drug use/abuse).  Dr. F  READ MORE

  • What is causing me to feel terrible?

Check the vitamins and supplements you are taking. If you are taking too much of the fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K), that might be the culprit. There may be other supplements (blood builder) that may cause the same. If that doesn't solve the issue, call your Dr. for a visit to evaluate your problems. Dr. F READ MORE

  • I have back pain?

Anatomical variant may or may not necessarily be associated with your back pain. See your doctor for further assessment and treatment if it persists. READ MORE

  • Can you take CBD oil with Depakote interactions?

Yes, absolutely. It is done all the time to treat seizures with EXCELLENT results.  Dr. F READ MORE

  • Can you open doors while having a wandering seizure?

To answer your question specifically. Yes, you could open doors while having a "wondering seizure", you can also do many other things. Seems like you had the seizure at the precise right (or wrong time) when the front door was left open. Glad to hear you were alright after waking up unconscious on a bridge. This is very concerning however. I suggest you see your Neurologist and get an EEG and Sleep study to determine what is going on exactly. I would also revisit "A Lot" of the medications you are taking to make sure some may not be the culprit. Last but not least to make sure you stay home deadbolt the entrance and exit doors with double key when you go to sleep, that way, there's less of a chance of you wondering away while having one of those wondering seizures. No telling where you could wind up next time.   Dr. F READ MORE

  • I have dizziness when looking straight up or down?

I do not have a specific name for your symptoms as described. There may be a problem in your vision pathways and its input to the balance center in your brain, brainstem, and cerebellum. While psychogenic symptoms cannot be ruled out, I think it warrants an evaluation. Talk to your parents and have them take you to a Neurologist for a detailed evaluation. Dr. F READ MORE

  • Cervical fusion issues after 10 years?

This is something that you need to have it looked at right away. It could be problems related to your fusion or adjacent areas. Call your doctor and get in rather urgently.  Dr. F. READ MORE

  • How long does neck nerve damage take to heal?

It depends on the damage. Some may be permanent, others may take months (up to 6 months). Also, you may experience partial recovery. Take vitamin B6 25 to 50 mg daily and it will help with nerve repair. Dr. F  READ MORE

  • What is causing my head pain?

It's hard to say, but I suggest you contact your doctor and get a scan done and possibly refer you to a Neurologist.   Dr. F READ MORE

  • Does taking tamsulosin, and sertraline, with lansoprazole, worsen dementia?

Long-term use of lansoprazole has been associated with dementia. Talk to your doctor about stopping this and try using tums as an antacid with some eating habits modification. See a Neurologist with regards to treating your dementia. READ MORE

  • I have neck and shoulder pain?

I suggest you stop therapy and have your neck and shoulder assessed for any problems by your doctor. Get some imaging studies and make sure there's no acute process going on.   Dr. F READ MORE

  • What is causing these symptoms?

Sounds like complicated migraines, other problems need to be ruled out as well. Talk to your doctor for a referral to a neurologist for further evaluation.  Dr. F READ MORE

  • My MRI findings?

Without all your clinical information, a whole conundrum of problems or diagnoses come to mind. It sounds concerning about all the areas of increased signal and enhancement. This is suggestive of inflammatory and/or infectious or malignancy (like I said before it is hard to say without your whole history). I suggest you get in touch with the Dr. that ordered the MRI and go in for a follow-up visit and further testing.   Dr. F. READ MORE

  • Why do I get a scar/mark on my forehead when I get a migraine?

Quite candidly, I cannot come up with a likely possibility. I suggest when this happens again take pictures so that would make the description a bit easier. I do not know of scars that appear and disappear spontaneously. I as well share the skepticism of freezing something that one does not know what it is. Talk to your Neurologist and if he/she does not know what it is once they see the pictures, then ask for a referral to an appropriate specialist.  Dr. F READ MORE

  • What causes dizziness?

You need to see your doctor and get a scan of your brain and middle ear. Do not let this go on without getting it checked. Dr. F. READ MORE

  • What causes nose twitching?

This can happen occasionally and is not a major concern. It often lasts a couple of days and goes away to again happen down the road and at different or the same area. It can be associated with high caffeine consumption (try cutting back if it's the case). If it persists for over 1 to 2 weeks, then have your doctor see you and/or see a Neurologist.   Dr. F. READ MORE

  • I've had a right hand shake for 20 years plus?

Likely essential tremor, can run in families. Doubt the use of computer had much to do with that. Can be alleviated by beta blockers (blood pressure medication), Valium derivatives, or alcohol. Talk to your doctor about trying a beta blocker or visit the beer stand a bit more frequent.   Dr. F READ MORE

  • I am 4 years post pituitary tumor surgery through nose?

To me, it seems more likely due to his medications and hormonal imbalance. Talk to the Endocrinologist to reassess medications and hormones. It might be prudent to do an MRI of the brain to asses the headaches. Tell your husband adrenal fatigue is real.   Dr. F READ MORE
