In regards to his education, Dr. Kurzban graduated with his Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College and earned his Medical Degree from Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in 1969. He went on to complete an internal medicine and radiology residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Radiology. 

To stay up to date in his field, Dr. Kurzban maintains a professional membership with the Radiological Society of North America, and the New York State Radiological Society. He holds expertise in ultrasound and gastrointestinal disorders.
