He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1979, prior to his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami in 1981. Driven to pursue further education, Dr. Spero graduated with his Psychology Doctorate in 1987 from Nova University in Broward County, Florida. He is the co-founder of the Broward County Chapter of the Stepfamily Association of America, Inc., and was the Pro Bono Evaluating Psychologist for the Elian Gonzalez case, a feature in an NBC Matt Lauer exclusive. Dr. Spero sees patients of all ages, and often provides family and relationship psychotherapy and help for adults who suffer from depression, anxiety, addictions, and substance abuse. Dr. Spero continues to provide exceptional care to his patients within his own practice, Child and Family Psychologists located in Sunrise, Florida.
