Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Naida Dzanic-Cemalovic, who serves patients in Astoria, New York.

As a board-certified and fellowship-trained obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Dzanic-Cemalovic’s compassion is the basis for her philosophy that all women need the utmost care and a deep understanding of their issues. Her “whole woman” approach recognizes the complexities of being a woman, and that it takes the right elements to sustain a healthy and happy life.

Through this profound knowledge, she offers a full menu of services (gynecological services and med spa treatments) at her private practice –  Asna Wellness Medical Ob/Gyn. P.C. – located in Astoria, New York. Dedicated to giving patients the utmost in gynecological and aesthetic care, she helps women sustain their journey towards health and beauty, ensuring the recreation of a more confident and beautiful “you”. 

A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Dr. Dzanic-Cemalovic remains affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Queens.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her medical degree from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 1984. Upon relocating to the United States, she went on to perform her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at North Shore University Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens in New York. Additionally, she holds a Master of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Hull in Great Britain, as well as a Master of Science degree in Pharmacology and a Doctorate degree in Gynecologic Oncology from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine. 

Holding herself to a high level of excellence, Dr. Dzanic-Cemalovic is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and gynecology. An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health. 

In addition to English, Dr. Dzanic-Cemalovic speaks Croatian, Serbo-Croatian, and Bosnian.
