The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her medical degree from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 1984. Upon relocating to the United States, she went on to perform her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at North Shore University Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens in New York. Additionally, she holds a Master of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Hull in Great Britain, as well as a Master of Science degree in Pharmacology and a Doctorate degree in Gynecologic Oncology from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine. 

Holding herself to a high level of excellence, Dr. Dzanic-Cemalovic is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
