Dr. Barzideh is an esteemed orthopaedic surgeon who joined the distinguished cadre of surgeons at Winthrop Orthopaedic Associates in Long Island, New York in 2007. His personal philosophy in the management of some of the more urgent and disabling orthopaedic conditions is that of technologically advanced surgical and non-surgical care while approaching the patient and their families with the compassion and kindness that is often easily overlooked.

They have extensive training in all orthopaedic areas, including sports medicine, hand and upper extremity, joint replacement, spine injuries, and arthritis. They are also skilled in using the latest technologies to care for and educate patients about their orthopaedic health.
Helping patients stay steady on their feet, Dr. Barzideh has a diverse set of interests in the practice of general orthopaedics, complex total joint replacements, and revisions, arthroscopic procedures and treatment of post-traumatic conditions. He also has extensive experience and expertise in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of complex upper and lower extremity orthopaedic trauma and fractures in all age groups, including treatment of malunions/non-unions and post-traumatic deformities.
In addition to being a part of the team at Winthrop Orthopaedic Associates, he has been serving as the Chief of the Division of Orthopaedic Trauma, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York since 2003.

With an interest in the intricacies of complex systems, Dr. Barzideh earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1998. He then went on to serve his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the same educational venue before embarking on his professional journey.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS), he is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
Moreover, he is board-certified in clinical informatics by the American Board of Preventive Medicine, which is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties that issues “certificates of special knowledge” in the specialty of preventive medicine.
As for his academic role, Dr. Barzideh serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the NYU Long Island School of Medicine. It trains students to become exceptional primary care physicians and future leaders in health systems.
