Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Bryna Kane, who serves the population of Long Beach, California. Bryna Kane, MD, is a managing partner/dermatologist at Laser Skin Care Center & Dermatology Associates, and is affiliated with Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Bryna Kane has been practicing for over 31 years in the Long Beach Community and has vast experience in both adult and pediatric dermatology. She completed a pediatric residency at UCLA and subsequently completed a dermatology residency and chief residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. With her wealth of clinical experience, Dr. Kane is a dermatologist in high demand, and she provides a comprehensive range of pediatric and adult medical dermatological evaluations, treatments, and procedures. Expert procedures carried out by Dr. Kane generally involve skin cancer identification and removal, laser procedures such as laser hair removal, tattoo removal, and chemical peels, laser and conventional treatment for psoriasis and vitiligo, as well as skin cancer surgery. Dr. Kane is the author of numerous medical publications on dermatology, and has also appeared on television shows including ‘What’s Good About LA’. She keeps up to date with all the latest technological advances in her field, through her professional memberships with organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatological Society. In July 2009, Dr. Kane received the prestigious American Academy of Dermatology Leadership Circle Award for her volunteerism with gang tattoo removal. She has treated over 5,000 at risk youth with her tattoo removal. Dr. Kane is the cofounder of the ‘Erase The Past’ gang tattoo removal program, providing free tattoo removal for at risk youths. Dr. Kane continues to be committed to the private practice of dermatology and comprehensive dermatologic care for her patients. Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin, nails, hair and its diseases. It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects.
