Get to know Physical Therapist Dr. Danit E. Macklin, who serves the population of New York.

Dr. Danit E. Macklin is the owner and director of her private practice Balance and Concussion Therapy Center. There she treats vestibular and post concussion patients of any age from pediatric up to and including geriatric. She provides concussion management services to individuals as well as to schools, clubs and organizations. She holds expertise in evidence based evaluation and treatment services to people with vertigo (including BPPV), dizziness, imbalance and people who have sustained concussions.

Additionally, Dr. Macklin is affiliated with the Hackensack University Medical Center for over fifteen years in the pediatric physical therapy department and the Neuroscience Institute.

Dr. Macklin graduated with her master’s degree in physical therapy from Louisiana State University in 2001. Furthering her education, she completed her doctorate in physical therapy from Arcadia University.

Dr. Macklin is additionally certified in Impact Training and Pediatric Vestibular. To stay up to date in her field, she remains a professional member of the American Physical Therapy, Association Vestibular Special Interest Group, and the Vestibular Disorder Association. She was part of the the state assembly to establish New Jersey’s Concussion Awareness Day in 2016 and continues to work with the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey on their concussion committee.
