Dr. Ahlawat practices Emergency Medicine and Hospitalist Medicine in the Greater Indianapolis area (Putnam County Hospital) and holds a community faculty position at the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency program in Indianapolis. His passion for teaching and mentorship also sees him precepting medical students at Marian College of Osteopathic medicine as he works with 3rd year medical students pursuing their Emergency Medicine clerkship.
Dr. Ahlawat received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency training at the Fort Wayne Medical Education program in Fort Wayne, IN. In 2020 he completed a physician MBA program from the IU Kelley School of Business.
Having grown up in Montreal, Canada he is an avid hockey fan. His interests also include soccer, surfing, traveling and indulging in local cuisines.

Later, in 2020, he obtained his Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
An active member of the American College of Surgeons, the doctor is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.
