Get to know Orthodontist Dr. Mark A. Paciorek, who serves patients in Camillus, New York. 

A leader in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Paciorek is the Founder of Paciorek Orthodontics in Camillus, New York. His and his team’s primary focus is to deliver the highest quality orthodontic care while providing an extraordinary experience and contributing to their patients’ happiness and well-being.

“I grew up in the Syracuse area and nothing gives me more pleasure than being able to provide my hometown community with excellent orthodontic care. The people I treat aren’t just patients; they are also my family, friends, and neighbors. I strive to give each patient I see friendly, personalized attention and develop meaningful relationships with them during and after their treatment” stated Dr. Paciorek.

Throughout his academic career, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy. He worked as a pharmacist prior to and during his dental training. He attended the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, as well as pursued his specialty training at the master’s level, graduating at the top of his class. 

In his pursuit of continued excellence, Dr. Paciorek attends numerous continuing education programs throughout the year to maintain the highest quality of care for his patients. He is also a frequent lecturer, sharing his orthodontic expertise at dental society meetings and dental study clubs.

To enhance his efforts, he remains a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeast Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Fifth District Dental Society, the Onondaga County Dental Society, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. He also serves as Co-chair of the Upstate New York Dentofacial Abnormalities Group.

Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of malpositioned teeth and jaws. It can also focus on modifying facial growth, known as dentofacial orthopedics. An orthodontist is a dentist who diagnoses overbites, occlusions, misaligned teeth and jaws, and overcrowded mouth, thereby helping patients to improve their oral health. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Paciorek loves spending time with his daughter, Melanie. One can find him skiing or snowmobiling in the winter and boating or golfing during the summer months. He also enjoys reading to the first and second grade classes in the elementary schools in his area each year.
