Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Scott H. Landry, who serves patients in Louisiana.

Dr. Landry is a pulmonologist working as Critical Care Physician and Pulmonologist with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, an integral part of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. He serves patients at Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group Critical Care Medicine in Baton Rouge, LA, and Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group Pulmonology – Ascension in Gonzales, LA. Featuring nineteen years of experience as a pulmonologist and critical care physician, he specializes in pulmonary disease medicine and critical care medicine.

Equipped with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry acquired in 1992 at Louisiana State University, Dr. Landry received his medical degree in 1996 at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in New Orleans, LA. He continued his journey with an internship and residency in internal medicine conducted at Wake Forest University School of Medicine (1996-1999). Dr. Landry is fellowship-trained in pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth (1999-2002). 

Dr. Landry obtained triple board certification with the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialty of internal medicine (1999) and the subspecialties of pulmonary disease medicine (2014) and critical care medicine (2016). The American Board of Internal Medicine is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing internal medicine and its subspecialties. 

Internal medicine or general internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of internal diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists.

Placing a strong emphasis on compassionate and comprehensive patient care, he is a Fellow of the College of Chest Physicians. The American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) is a medical association consisting of physicians and non-physician specialists in the field of chest medicine, which includes pulmonology, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine.
