Dr. Luskin is an allergist and immunologist in practice with SSM Health Dean Medical Group. He sees patients at the offices in Sun Prairie and Dodgeville, Wisconsin.

A 1968 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Luskin went on to perform his internship and residency in internal medicine at the same educational venue. This was followed by a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Grant Hospital.
Helping patients breathe better and live better, he is board-certified in allergy and immunology by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI). The mission of the ABAI is to improve the quality of medical care by the development and utilization of professional and educational standards for the initial certification and maintenance of certification of physician specialists in allergy and immunology.
Furthermore, Dr. Luskin is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (Fellow), the American College of Physicians, the American Federation for Clinical Research, the Association of Animal Allergic Veterinarians, the Society of Medical History, the Society for American Baseball Research, the Wisconsin Medical Society, and the Wisconsin Allergy Society.
In his professional experience, Dr. Luskin established and directed The Allergy/Immunology Training Program at Rush Medical College. He served on the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP) Coordinating Committee and on its Executive and Long-Range Planning subcommittees, and co-chaired the Professional, Patient, and Public Education Subcommittee and the Managed Care Subcommittee. He also chaired the Asthma in Pregnancy Working Group of the NHLBI that developed the Treatment of Asthma in Pregnancy guidelines.
His current research focuses on clinical and economic outcomes management in obstructive respiratory and allergic diseases.
Allergy and immunology involve the management of disorders related to the immune system. These conditions range from the very common to the very rare, spanning all ages and encompassing various organ systems. An allergist / immunologist is a physician specially trained to diagnose, treat, and manage allergies, asthma, and immunologic disorders, including primary immunodeficiency disorders.
Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Luskin has served on the editorial board of the Annals of Allergy and its editorial council. He has written more than 45 original articles, 22 book chapters, supplements and white papers, and 60 abstracts on respiratory disease and outcomes management. In addition, he has been the recipient of the Distinguished Fellow Award and the Distinguished Service Award of the ACAAI; has given the Bela Schick, John McGovern and Stanislous Jaros named lectureships; and has received multiple teaching awards, including the NHLBI’s Exemplary Service Award.
Happily married, he and his wife have five children.
