Get to know Family Physician Dr. John Molaiy, who serves patients in Arlington, Virginia.

Named a Top Doctor by Northern Virginia Magazine, Dr. Molaiy is a trusted family physician who is affiliated with Virginia Hospital Center.

Virginia Hospital Center, designated as a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is a 394-bed not-for-profit, teaching facility in Arlington, Virginia. Back in 1997, Dr. Molaiy obtained his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Years later, he completed his internship and residency in family medicine at Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals in Michigan.

Proactively focusing on wellness, he is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. 

In good standing with several professional organizations, Dr. Molaiy is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians. Among his philanthropic endeavours, he is a supporter of the United Nations and Save the Children.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

An authority in his field, Dr. Molaiy has been the recipient of several awards and honors throughout his career. These include: Patients’ Choice Award (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), and On-Time Doctor Award (2015, 2018).
