Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Roger Verno, who serves the Fort Lauderdale area at his private practice, Cypress Creek Chiropractic Center. Dr. Verno attended Chiropractic school at Sherman College of Chiropractic where he graduated cum laude in 1983. He is a certified chiropractic sports physician, a certified laser technician and a diplomat in The American Academy of Pain Management. Currently, Dr. Verno practices chiropractic at Cypress Creek Chiropractic Center, and he has been in business for over 25 years. Dr. Verno specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions associated with the neuromusculoskeletal system, while improving each patients functionality and quality of life. Conditions treated include sciatica, neck pain, and arthritis pain, among many others. Dr. Verno seeks to reduce pain and discomfort through manipulation and adjustment of the spine. Several years ago, Dr. Verno expanded his practice to include other anti-aging services such as, laser skin resurfacing, hair removal and age spot removal, detoxification, weight loss, smoke cessation and non-surgical facelifts using microcurrent. Dr. Verno has also performed many chiropractic manipulations under anesthesia on chronic pain patients. Currently, Dr. Verno is training in the use of biofeedback laser which has shown promising results with patients suffering with allergies and some autoimmune conditions as well as autism. To stay up-to-date on developments in his field, Dr. Verno maintains professional memberships in the American Academy of Pain Management, the Florida Chiropractic Association, the Academy of American Anti-Aging Medicine and the FCA Council on Sports Injuries, Physical Fitness and Rehabilitation. Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that focuses on the relationship between the body’s structure—mainly the spine—and its functioning. Although practitioners may use a variety of treatment approaches, they primarily perform adjustments (manipulations) to the spine or other parts of the body with the goal of correcting alignment problems, alleviating pain, improving function, and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Dr. Verno was the chiropractic team physician for the Ely H.S. boys and girls basketball teams and boys J.V. and varsity football teams. He has also donated his time at numerous beach volleyball, triathlons, Florida Games and bike races over his 30 year chiropractic career. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Verno enjoys spending time with his family and practicing MMA fighting.
