A pioneer in the fight against diabetes and other endocrine disorders, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). A Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, Dr. Steinsapir is a current member of the American Diabetes Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

Endocrinology is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions known as hormones.
