Get to know Endocrinologist Dr. Jaime Steinsapir, who serves patients in West Palm Beach, Florida. 

Specializing in the treatment of diabetes, thyroid disease, and other metabolic disorders, Dr. Steinsapir is a board-certified endocrinologist who excels in his current role at Palm Beach Diabetes and Endocrine Specialists, PA in West Palm Beach, Florida.

After graduating summa cum laude with a medical degree from the University of Chile, Dr. Steinsapir received his Doctorate degree in Endocrinology with distinction from The Medical College of Georgia. His clinical fellowship was completed at the Endocrinology and Hypertension Division of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.

A pioneer in the fight against diabetes and other endocrine disorders, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes & metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, Dr. Steinsapir is a current member of the American Diabetes Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

Endocrinology is a branch of biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions known as hormones. Endocrinologists have the training to diagnose and treat hormone imbalances and problems by helping to restore the normal balance of hormones in the body. The common diseases and disorders of the endocrine system that endocrinologists deal with include diabetes mellitus, as well as adrenal, pituitary, and thyroid disorders, among others. 

A consulting endocrinologist since 1994, Dr. Steinsapir’s extensive research papers on diabetes management and other endocrine disorders have been widely published.

Looking back, he attributes his success to receiving support from his family. His desire to pursue a career in healthcare developed after being inspired by his father, a fellow physician. In his free time, he enjoys playing chess and traveling.
