Get to know Addiction Medicine Physician Dr. Christopher Sendi, who serves patients in Alexandria, Virginia.
Dr. Sendi is a Ketamine specialist at NOVA Health Recovery Ketamine Infusion Center, with a mission to bring health, happiness, and hope to those suffering in Alexandria and the greater Virginia area.
NOVA Health Recovery Ketamine Infusion Center is a specialty treatment center offering ketamine services as a therapy for treatment resistant depression, postpartum depression, suicidality, bipolar disorder, OCD, anxiety, and chronic pain conditions including CRPS. It also offers addiction treatment services with Suboxone, Vivitrol, and Sublocade therapies for opiate use disorder, and FDA approved and off-label therapies for alcohol use disorder.
Graduating with his Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgetown University, Dr. Sendi went on to earn his Medical Degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He then performed his internships in family medicine and internal medicine at Vidant Medical Center/East Carolina University.
Having spent over 24 years in the medical field, Dr. Sendi has observed the rise of obesity, addiction, and pain as they have affected the quality of life of so many people. There are so many available therapies that are underutilized but have great effectiveness in these conditions. Having treated these ailments for so many years, it became apparent that many practitioners were poorly prepared to intervene. Many patients lose opportunities to improve their health and wellness. Progressive therapies for addictions, weight loss, and chronic pain have been overlooked as options for many patients. Seeing this, Dr. Sendi decided to create NOVA Health Recovery Ketamine Infusion Center with the expectation of helping patients reach their goals, mitigate risk, and enjoy the health they deserve.
Board certified in internal medicine, emergency medicine, addiction medicine, obesity medicine, and pain management, Dr. Sendi adds his expertise in these areas to patients’ care so that he can evaluate the root causes of conditions and not just treat symptoms.
A NeoGraft specialist for hair restoration, he also provides trichology (hair restoration) services.

Addiction medicine physicians provide comprehensive care to improve the health outcomes for patients with a wide range of addiction disorders, including drug and alcohol addiction, and pharmaceutical dependency.
