Get to know Dentist Dr. Robert J. Funk, who serves patients in Royersford, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Funk is a dentist who is currently serving patients’ dental needs at his own private practice in Royersford, Pennsylvania. The dental practice was founded in 1951 by Dr. Funk’s father – Richard B. Funk. It remains in the same location with many of its original patients and their children, grandchildren, and in some cases, great grandchildren.

At his dental practice, Dr. Funk’s immediate concern is dental health, which is why he is very adamant in stressing regular dental check-ups and cleanings. Some of the services he provides include veneers, crowns, dentures, composite fillings, implant restorations, and more.

Dr. Funk grew up in Royersford and graduated from Spring Ford high school. He spent his college years at Juniata College and went to dental school at Temple Dental School, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.

Dr Funk has invested many hours in continuing education and has become highly knowledgeable in many phases of dentistry. He tries to combine that knowledge with a craftsmanship so that any work he creates will be as perfect, enduring, and functional as possible.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a dentist, Dr. Funk diagnoses and treats dental issues, as well as helps patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. He recognizes that for many patients, going to the dentist is not a stress-free experience. This is why he tries to incorporate humor and conversation into his appointments, making his patients feel more relaxed and at ease.

Dr. Funk has been named a 2019 Top Invisalign Provider. Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that helps to straighten teeth without the use of the typical metal braces.

Dr. Funk is married with two children. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, golfing, gardening, and reading.
