Get to know Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Vimon Seriburi, who serves patients in Texas. 

Dr. Seriburi is an infectious disease specialist serving Plano and the surrounding communities. She is affiliated with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital and Baylor Scott and White Medical Center – the 2 hospital major networks that has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson and McKinney since 1991. With advanced medical treatments and an experienced staff that provides compassionate care, their mission is to improve the health of the people in the communities they serve. 

In 2004, Dr. Seriburi attended St. George’s University School of Medicine and earned her medical degree followed by her Internal Medicine internship and residency at the Yale New Haven Hospital Saint Raphael Campus in 2008. She completed her fellowship in Infectious Diseases with New York Medical College in Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY in 2011.

Dr. Seriburi is board certified in infectious disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

Infectious Disease is a medical specialty dealing with the diagnosis, control and treatment of infections. As an infectious disease specialist, Dr. Seriburi specializes in infections that are difficult to diagnose or unresponsive to treatments, such as HIV or airborne infections from a foreign country. She usually works with conditions that are not treatable by a primary physician but it is important to keep contact with the primary physician in order to receive information about the patient’s history and for deciding which diagnostic tests are appropriate.
