Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Sharon Spiteri, who serves patients in New Jersey.

Dr. Spiteri is a board-certified pediatrician who has invaluable first-hand experience ranging from prematurity and early development to nutrition and overall child health. She is currently serving patients at Gruenwald and Comandatore in Millburn, New Jersey.  The practice provides a wide range of pediatric screenings and consultations, including nutritional counseling, behavioral consultations, behavioral and developmental screenings, ADD and ADHD evaluations, sports screenings, vision screenings, and hearing screenings. Moreover, Gruenwald and Comandatore provides special services such as inhalation therapy, wart removal, cerumen removal, laceration repair, and ear piercing. 

In addition to serving patients at Gruenwald and Comandatore, Dr. Spiteri is affiliated with Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. 

After graduating from Barnard College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology, she continued her studies at Columbia University, where she obtained her Master of Public Health degree. She then went on to earn her medical degree from St. George’s University and subsequently completed her residency at the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in New Jersey. 

As for the doctor’s achievements, she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and holds board certification in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization that was founded in 1933. It is one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. As a pediatrician, Dr. Spiteri examines, diagnoses, and treats children of all ages with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses.
