In addition to his clinical work, Dr. McClung is passionate about educating young athletes on injury prevention and rehabilitation. In 2012, he initiated a program at Beacon aimed at teaching high school students about orthopedic anatomy using cadavers, fostering a deeper understanding of musculoskeletal health among the youth.

He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Davidson College in 1995 before pursuing his Medical Degree at the West Virginia School of Medicine in 1999. Following his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Ohio, Dr. McClung completed a prestigious fellowship in sports medicine at the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center, culminating in 2005.
