A top nephrologist, Dr. Matthew serves patients at his private practice, Renal Consultants, in Saint Louis, Missouri. He maintains hospital affiliations with Christian Hospital and Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Saint Louis, MO, as well as SSM Health DePaul Hospital – St. Louis in Bridgeton, MO, and SSM Health St. Joseph – St. Charles in St. Charles, MO.

Dr. Matthew completed his medical degree in 1992 at The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He then pursued his internal medicine residency at the same educational venue (1992-1995), followed by his nephrology fellowship conducted at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD (1995-1997). 

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine and the subspecialty of nephrology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The American Board of Internal Medicine is a 501 nonprofit, self-appointed physician-evaluation organization that certifies physicians practicing internal medicine and its subspecialties.

Nephrology is a specialty of adult internal medicine and pediatric medicine that concerns the study of the kidneys, specifically normal kidney function and kidney disease, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy.
