With a strong commitment to his specialty, Dr. Chu serves on the Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, as well as a member of the Santa Clara County Medical Association and the California Medical Association.
After earning his medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut in 1963, Dr. Chu went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at UCLA Medical Center. He then completed his fellowship in allergy and asthma at Scripps Clinic & Research Foundation.
Following his education, he earned board certification in allergy and immunology by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, whose mission is to improve the quality of medical care by the development and utilization of professional and educational standards for the initial certification and maintenance of certification of physician specialists in allergy and immunology.
Moreover, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
