Back in 1989, Dr. Kotob graduated with his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of Damascus University in Syria. Upon relocating to the United States, he performed an internship at the University of Connecticut and a residency in anesthesiology at State University of New York Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn. This was followed by multiple fellowships at Beth Israel Medical Center, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Children’s Hospital of Boston, and Buffalo General Hospital.

Thriving in his field, he is board-certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), whose mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology. As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, the ABA is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care.
