He later completed an internship and residency in internal medicine, as well as a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, now in New York-Presbyterian Queens (where he maintains a professional affiliation). 

Following his education, the doctor earned board certification in allergy and immunology through the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, whose mission is to improve the quality of medical care by the development and utilization of professional and educational standards for the initial certification and maintenance of certification of physician specialists in allergy and immunology.
