Specializing in geriatric psychiatry and pain medicine, Dr. Valiveti is an established psychiatrist at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.

A clinical affiliate of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is a 1,070 bed hospital located at 230 East Ridgewood Avenue in Paramus, New Jersey. Founded in 1916 to treat patients with contagious diseases, the medical center is both the largest hospital and licensed nursing home in New Jersey and the fourth-largest publicly-owned hospital in the nation. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Valiveti received her medical degree from Guntur Medical College in India in 1991. She then relocated to the United States, performing her residency in psychiatry and her fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at New York Medical College in 2002 and 2003, respectively. 

A Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, the doctor is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders.
