Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Leslie Seiden, who serves patients in Lake Worth, Florida.

Dr. Seiden is a board-certified psychiatrist who serves patients at her private practice in Lake Worth, Florida. A Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (FAPA), she is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, and the Florida Psychiatric Society.

The doctor is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists. 

Additionally, she is certified in biofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, a non-profit organization that serves as the international standard in biofeedback certification, neurofeedback certification, and pelvic muscle dysfunction biofeedback certification.

After earning her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in 1964, Dr. Seiden went on to obtain her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in New York City, New York in 1968. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Yeshiva University in 1972. 

Following her many years of experience, she has earned several awards and honors, including the On-Time Doctor Award in 2018, the Patients’ Choice Award in 2018, and Compassionate Doctor Recognition in 2018. 

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and evaluate treatment results.
