In Central Michigan, Ascension Genesys Hospital is a full-service hospital with 24/7 emergency care and surgical specialists. The doctors and care teams deliver personalized care for serious and life-threatening injuries and illnesses. They offer a wide range of specialty care services from heart and lung care to cancer, brain and spine and orthopedic care. They also deliver a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, diagnostic imaging, lab tests, respiratory therapy, and rehabilitation therapy services all on one campus.

Following the completion of his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University–Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994, Dr. Morales went on to further his education. He performed his internship and Emergency residency at Ascension Genesys Hospital. 

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in emergency medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). The AOBEM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of acutely ill patients with advanced cardiac life support, trauma, and the management of other life-threatening medical issues (emergency physicians).

A Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (FACOEP), Dr. Morales is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Morales is currently an associate professor  of internal medicine at Michigan State University and  core faculty for the Ascension Genesys Emergency medicine residency program. 

Emergency medicine, also known as accident and emergency medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with the care of illnesses or injuries requiring immediate medical attention. An emergency physician works in an emergency department to care for acutely ill or injured patients on an unscheduled basis.

On a more personal note, Dr. Morales was born and raised in Puerto Rico and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
