HCPH is a 28-bed inpatient facility accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, serving children and adolescents (ages 6 – 18) from St. Louis City and a 31-county region of Southeastern Missouri. Comprehensive care is afforded by multidisciplinary teams consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, social workers, recreational and art therapists and teachers, as well as interns of these various professions.
In order to stay up to date in his field, Dr. Vasile remains a distinguished member of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. His acclaimed career in medicine began in 1996, when he earned his medical degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at Einstein Medical Center, followed by his residency in child & adolescent psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center.
