The broad aim of the ABNS is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health.
Among his professional affiliations, he is an active member of the Rapides Parish Medical Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Louisiana Neurosurgical Society, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Southern Neurosurgical Society, and the American Back Society.
